Without face-to-face interaction, sometimes to-the-point quick responses can be misinterpreted as short or rude. Especially if the person on the other end is having a bad day. Take an extra 2 or 3 seconds to throw in a quick smiley face, thumbs up or whatever you decide to choose.
Why not play the corporate game and pretend that you are a ride-or-die employee who has drunk the company Kool-Aid?
